- Assigned user cleared.
It looks like this issue is being caused by a timeout from Amazons Elastic Load Balancer. I ticket has been opened with Amazon to get the timeout increased, this ticket will be marked as resolved once that is done.

Amazon has added a timeout option to the load balancer, the timeout is now set to 5 minutes
